WTB: Hard Shell Case

Post by Madhatter10-6 »

Looking for a parker hard shell case. I picked up another fly recently and it came with a gig bag...and I prefer the OHSC.

Im in Lexington KY and happy to pay for shipping.

i bought mine here:

https://hiscoxcases.com/products/parker ... ro-ii-spec

other than the pictures suggest, it has a perfect mold for my fly deluxe

took them some month to make it, but that was during corona problems.

Thanks! This is my plan B route. If I can't find an OHSC Ill just spend the money to do this.

This hiscox case is quite nice. Though, it is significantly thicker than any of the oem hardshells.

Maybe it's worth asking for the shipping price...

Very very nice madhatter. I made a call but never pulled the trigger, you beat me to em, well done!

I hope you paid a little less for the black one? I tried to help "whomever" out that would eventually buy these and told the guy not to expect as much from the black one since it's not rare.

I'd help you if I had a hard case but I just filled my last one.

The seller mentioned he had quite a bit of interest in these and I got the vibe that he wasn't bluffing on it.

I ended up just buying both....so its hard to say what I actually paid for each one. IMO I over paid for them a little ...but also they were some of the cleanest parkers I had seen and didn't want to miss on them and then think about it for the next 5 years lol.

The white really does look brand new in person.

Hey I was ready to overpay a little as well, especially on the white one. I think in the long run, they were both good investments 👍🏻

Well here is a bit of nostalgia for you guys.
I bought my near mint 1994 white hard tail in 2017 I think for $1100 and sent it to Shazrock to fix a dent which brought it to perfect condition. And she charged me $120 bucks at the time. Total cost with shipping - $1275.
Those were the days.

Thats awesome!

Crazy to see what prices have done over the last 10 years with these.

I blame just a couple of guys for this. Just interested in money, not in the instruments at all.

While I totally agree with you patzag, I feel confident (irresistible) in purchasing any "minty" pre refine deluxe of any color, if I can land it sub 4k with hard case complete with everything.

My first fly I bought was second hand in 99 for 1300...I felt like I probably got robbed but it was a very nice example, and I never knew what the actual prices were to begin with at that period in time. But knowing now, and adjusting for inflation, and considering these guitars to be some of the best ever made, I feel like in another 10-15 years, they will command even more money. And if they don't, I still have a slew of great guitars!

So, as a player first, collector second, I snap up anything that fits my criteria, needed, or not.

Did I need another mint deluxe that I just bought? Hell no! But I bought it anyway ;) However, I kinda do need it, because that was the color I had in 99! Blue Majik baby!

Also consider in 2000, an Oz of gold was around 350. We just hit another all time high today of 2250. Did you ever think one lousy gold coin would be worth 2250? You can't even make music with it lol
