**NO LONGER AVAILABLE** Dimarzio Bluesbucker Fly Pickup $72

Post by mmmguitar »

Being as I'm currently going through my parts boxes and listing spare pickups I don't see myself using in future projects, this Fly-specific Bluesbucker (DP163) I bought for the neck position of my Supreme in 2020 may as well go here in the Classifieds. Because the two Flys I have are outfitted with Sustainiac pickups, and I already have a different Bluesbucker with a baseplate I modified to fit Fly routs, this one seems more likely to sell on the auction block.

For any unaware: The Bluesbucker's neck-facing bobbin is a 7kΩ, ceramic magnet single coil with a sound comparable to a Fender Texas Special. The other bobbin is strictly for hum-cancelling; with 3kΩ of wire and non-magnetized dummy slugs. In series, the humbucker sounds somewhere between a P90 and a PAF. When split, it sounds like an aggressive, bluesy single coil. I favor these pickups in 24 fret guitars; because most of the sound is generated by the bobbin closest to the end of the fretboard.

I paid $97.81 for this after tax in 2020. Because $72 is the cheapest Bluesbucker listing I can find, I'm listing this and my other DP163s for that price.

@Patzag, Sure thing, buddy. No hurry. I'll even mail you one to try out and, if you end up not caring for it, just mail it back. I'm not trying to get rich selling spare pickups - Just decluttering.
