Stuff I found on Craigslist

Have something Parker-related to sell? Post about it here. Three things you need to know:
1. This area is for Parker Guitars and related accessories only
2. Post a clear asking price
3. This site assumes no responsibility in these transactions

Pearl white Nitefly (v4, I think) in what looks like decent condition for $1100 in Seattle — https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/msg/ ... 93680.html

Seems like a good price but IDK. Alls I know is the other Nitefly I've seen on CL in the area has been up for months at $1800.

We had some sub-$1k Nitefly listings on eBay and Reverb in 2nd quarter 2023 (with this listing having sat from March 20th through April 5th alongside a dozen or so competing listings; to somewhat indicate the dip in demand at that time). Since then, it's become increasingly rare to see them pop up with an initial asking price below $1,200; with many Nitefly owners having attempted to upsell their guitars for Fly prices since 2021 (when initial listing prices went from averaging $700 to $2,000 in the span of only a few months).

Potential scam alert: https://desmoines.craigslist.org/msg/d/ ... 43864.html

This exact instrument sold on reverb last month for $3300 https://reverb.com/item/83907187-parker ... _sold=true (I actually reached out to the buyer after it sold to see how much it actually sold for, and he confirmed it went for list.)

I haven't reached out to the seller on craigslist, but it's a copy/pasted post for a too good to be true price

Like, the finish is shit, there is no serial numbe, some parts are missing out from the back cavity so to me there is a mod of work to do and paying 2k2 for that is a bit nonsense don’t you think ?

I was being sarcastic which didn’t come through on my post.
I don’t think the guitar is worth more than 500 bucks.

I chatted with the guy he said he got offered 1k3 but even this is like too much for what is it. It’s a bit sad because it could be a good instrument.

I hear you, @KenanJ—it could be a good instrument. And I hear you on that price—I’m not risk-averse with these things, but at a price point like that, we’re in the realm of spending a little bit more to get something that has a higher likelihood of not having any issues.

For me personally, part of my hesitancy with instruments like this is that there are too many unknowns: why was this leftover in the factory in the first place? Was there something wrong with it? Ken has explained at length the difficulties and high margin of error of applying the composite materials to the back and fingerboard of the instruments—what’s to say that this was done well?

Again, this is my personal opinion. Certain issues like “this thing won’t intonate properly” and “I can’t get the action any lower” and “this thing isn’t holding tune so well” are all questions that, if they arise, tend to be noticeable over time. If it was someone I knew selling it at that price point I’d consider it based on how much I trust that person’s assessment. However, like I said, the thought that overrides that consideration most times is “for a little bit more money and patience, you can find something like it without as many risks.”

Deal of the century, looks to be a white fly deluxe in suspect condition—is that a giant missing patch of paint on the lower horn I see?—and a shoddy replacement of a sperzel tuner, along with a missing strap button for the low low price of 5k OBO:

Never underestimate the equity a GG Allin bumper sticker adds. I doubt any of us are intense enough to wield this instrument, point it to the heavens, shout, "By the power of Grayskull, I have the power!", and be transformed into GG.
