Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum. Nice to be here! I've had a 1995 Parker Fly Deluxe for a while and have been very happy with it but found the action slightly too low. I raised it a bit and it plays great. Now I want to re-adjust the intonation which is a bit off due to the action change. The issue is that after loosening the screw as it states in the manual, the saddles don't budge! I'm not sure if they are maybe just crusty and stuck somehow. I've never adjusted intonation on this guitar. The manual shows Ken Parker adjusting the saddle position with the eraser end of a pencil but for me, it doesn't budge although the screw is totally loose. Anyone have an idea? Am I doing it wrong? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Help with pre-refined saddles
Re: Help with pre-refined saddles
Hi! Welcome!
They are most likely gunked up, and some careful prying might be required. Remove the string and the screw all the way and try to give it a little wiggle and see if it comes loose. Don't pull up and don't push with too much force on it because there's a tiny little wire that connects the piezo pickup to the bridge.

Thank-you very much! I'll try that. Do you think it would be safe to spray some De-oxit in there maybe?
Pre-refined saddles won’t budge
Re: Help with pre-refined saddles
Yes. I soaked the bridge in windex for a few hours by dripping it between the saddles. I then used a Q-tip between the saddles and the back of the bridge as a lever to gently push each saddle forward and loosen it. Worked great. Thanks again for the advice!
