Modifying a Fly Mojo Singlecut case to fit a Fly

Post by vjmanzo »

Remember that time you bought an OEM case for Fly Mojo Singlecut thinking it would fit a Fly? I do! 😙

Quick mod! Just pop those styrofoam inserts out:

Peel back the fabric:

Cut the foam to fit your Fly:

And restick the fabric to the styrofoam:

The top insert of that particular case has four pieces of foam stuck on that can easily be pulled off to provide a better fit:

Yay! 😉

And, of course, cases form-fitted to other guitars may be modified to fit and protect that Fly-shaped cryptocurrency folks have been buying up, lately.

Hey—this case says “Parker” on it, which I’m pretty sure is the case-equivalent way of saying “this goes up to eleven!” 🤪

Did you buy that $149 Case I saw for sale?? :?:
I thought it would work too!!
Figured you might have to fill in a few places with that Foam Fill Spray in a can
Or add a couple pieces from some packaging
Hot Glue GUN etc.
Congrats on the case vjmanzo!!

Thanks, m’man! My brother bought this case for me a few months ago, and it’s been sitting next to my workbench waiting for surgery. 😀

Once I confirmed that it wasn’t a big deal to mod the case, yes, I did make an offer and buy that other case that was recently listed on eBay! 😉

To restate it: there is absolutely no practical or functional reason to favor a case that says “Parker Guitars” on it over any of the hundreds of other cases out there…but…ya know…this one says “Parker Guitars” on it 🤪 #LuggageTag

Sure beat the $340 case on Reverb now & the $200 Gig Bag
I'd like to have one BUT??
Common Sense kicks in..

I NOTE: That you have four frets that have fallen off on the fly in the photos
