Just for reference: you can still find Flys in decent condition for under $2k if you’re patient, keep an eye out, and move quickly. This one was sitting at $1900 for a few days before dropping to $1500 today and then selling quite quickly.

Interestingly, a ‘95 Deluxe in black (vibrato) sold last week for the same price on the Carter Vintage Guitars website.
Sold: Fly Deluxe 1993 (hardtail) w/OHSC $1,500
Re: Sold: Fly Deluxe 1993 (hardtail) w/OHSC $1,500
Just browsing the prices on Reverb & eBay this morning and it feels like the prices have actually settled down to something reasonable.
Average price of a deluxe or classic is $2500.
Still less than they retailed for new.
Now I haven’t browsed SOLD listings in a while, but for a player not a collector, the $2000 mark is what we’re looking for. I wouldn’t touch one with too much neck damage or sloppy repaint but those seem to be listed over $2000.
Let’s all go out and plug in and play!
