Wow... big difference.. Just put a set of NYXL.
Didn't realize it made that of a difference.
Thanks again.

Re: Fly Nuts through the years
Hi,
Found this document from GraphTech which specifies nut replacements for the Fly series.
Did anyone try it? The models are shaped a bit different from the stock ones but they might be a good source?
Cheers,

Re: DiMarzio custom pickups
Thanks again VJ.
I'll do some string experiments.
Tried Elixir & Cleartone sets which I didn't like. I'll try D'Addarios.
I think I'll have to change my switch as well. Got a a spare.

Re: DiMarzio custom pickups
Thanks for all the info. Ill be sure to check the provided links. I'm currently using a 9 gauge with a set of Dean Markley blue steel strings. I noticed my magnetic switch (on-on-on) is "jumping" into center position by itself all of the time and something seems to be a bit off there. Need...

DiMarzio custom pickups
Hi
Anyone here ever order a DiMarzio replacement for their fly?
I am interested in ordering a tone-zone and an air norton replacements for my gen 1.
So far no response from their customer service (a week now).
I read that they can still custom make pickups for the fly.
Thanks

Recommended polish for fly deluxe
Hi,
Is there a recommended guitar polish product for the deluxe line? (I got a 97)
I am looking for a good polish material that may do some work on scratches to the paint (if there is something that good).
Thanks
Tal

Help setting the action on a Fly deluxe 97
Hi, I am trying to modify the action on my Fly deluxe. I have changed my spring from 10 to 09. Will take it to a guitar tech on Sunday anyways but I found that the higher (left one) hex screw is not turning at all and I don't want to apply pressure. The lower hex screw (right one) is turning easily....

Re: Fly pre-refined concentric piezo knob
Okay I did it.... wow it was scary first time... Funny thing. I got the guitar with a 10 gauge spring with the intonation way way way off. Changed to 09 slowly and carefully following instructions from both manual and forum. Intonation is perfect without touching a saddle. ;) [Here it is][https://dr...

Re: Fly pre-refined concentric piezo knob
Let's hope we will be able to source another element.
Now I need to gather my courage to change the spring myself.

Re: Fly pre-refined concentric piezo knob
Thanks VJ, You ordered one really quick. hehe. It will be great if it appears to be a good fit and a suitable replacement. By the way, I saw your new short youtube video on the spring/step stop "contraption". Just what I needed to get comfortable enough to try and change the spring myself....

Fly pre-refined concentric piezo knob
Hi, Trying to find a replacement dual stacked knob for the piezo on my 97 deluxe. The closest I got is this: https://proaudioland.com/bartolini-dc250ka-dual-concentric-250k-stacked-volume-potentiometer.html I read in the "anatomy of a fly" post that this knob is not sourced or modelled yet...

How rare are the Nylon Flys?
Anyone know how many Spanish flys were created?
Could be a cool name to call them Flymenco. hehe?
They are rare as it gets right?
