More than I'd have liked, but the job was done well. $575 all in.

Re: "New" Parker on the way...
Fresh from Pat Wilkins and my buddy/guitar tech, here she is! https://i.imgur.com/UdNu9WI.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/CBip2PS.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/MQdRiEK.jpeg Funnily enough, this is the color I would have bought if one had been available! I'm not sure how many were made in Taxi Cab Yellow, but mi...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
A nice looking MaxxFly DF624 [serial 1205025] sold almost immediately after being posted. It seems like a reasonable price. Lucky duck! https://reverb.com/item/85498372-parker-maxxfly-df624-2012-root-beer-gloss?show_sold=true This one appears to be for sale again, but now from a dealer in New York?...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
It seems reasonable with respect to their having sold new for $2,599 USD - But the non-CF DF series depreciated greatly once the brand was shelved; with the DF624 able to be found for as low as $1,200 USD as recently as a year ago . Then I must have overpaid for my DF524! But I'm not too ups...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
Market tip: If you ever need to quickly increase the value of your '94 Galaxy Gray Deluxe (138094BP), you can use a grease-clogged kitchen sponge to speckle some pink, purple, and green acrylic paints over the clear coat until the guitar's able to be mistaken for an egg laid by a rodeo clown. Then,...

Re: "New" Parker on the way...
More to follow... I look forward to reading about it! If you can tease anything: Do your plans include moving the guitar a little further into fulfilling that Strat niche, or was that merely the impetus for a more ambitious project? Nothing super ambitious; the guitar is in pretty good working orde...

"New" Parker on the way...
Hey all I've been loving my Fly Classic, and since getting it up and running it's become my number one guitar. I've been downsizing my guitars and discovered I really wanted a Strat back in the arsenal. I had a 50s reissue a while back but the neck was a little too big for my liking. After consultat...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
This has got to be the most ridiculous, out to lunch Reverb listing I’ve ever seen. Parker P-42 for 11k Canadian. Although it is a “rare first year model” so… https://reverb.com/item/85348084-parker-p-42-a-rare-first-year-model I offered a couple bucks for it, but no answer. I mean, I need to...

Thoughts on Refinish
Hey All
Out of curiosity, what are y'alls thoughts on refinishing a Fly? Aside from the logistical issues of "Can it Be Done?" of course, do you prefer an instrument to be all original or is it okay to slap on a new coat of paint?

(SOLD) Looking to Trade for a Fly
EDIT: Sold the guitar! NGD is incoming :D Or maybe a Dragonfly, or just a nice Parker all around! I've got a wonderful Fly that I love already, but I'm looking for another! As of now, I'm looking to trade a guitar I have, a 2014 Charvel Guthrie Govan. It's a great guitar and plays really well; I cur...

Piezo Chip Replacement
I'm happy to say that the Piezo issue has been resolved. I had to take the day off work for various errands since I'm going out of country for the weekend. I decided to stop by the local electronics supply store and see if they had the IC chip that was referenced by ArcherRecording in this post: htt...

Re: Hello! No Parker (Yet..)
The main thing that community is missing is someone to pick up where Steve Moser left off when he shut down Moses Graphite (the OEM carbon-graphite-phenolic neck supplier since the 1990s or so). One of my steinies was a GM1 I assembled using NOS parts. While sourcing the neck (by far the hardest pa...

Re: Hello! No Parker (Yet..)
I was reading a reply to a forum post asking if buying a Fly these days is worth it, and the reply was something to the effect of "It's comparable to owning a supercar. Parts are hard to find and expensive, you'll have nothing but headaches in maintaining it long term, but there's nothing else ...

Re: Hello! No Parker (Yet..)
Look at it this way: If everything structural on the guitar has held up from November 1997 through to the present, it's likely to stay that way. Any other subsequent wear and tear just means that you're getting your money's worth out of it. This is how I'm looking at it. Considering I was able to g...

Re: Hello! No Parker (Yet..)
Now that I have the guitar set up and at home, and more importantly while I am still in the return window, I must engage in what Hercule Poirot would call "the picking of the nits." Upon closer inspection, there are some marks of wear on the edge of the headstock, very faint and small, and...

Re: Hello! No Parker (Yet..)
🔥🔥🔥 🙌🙌🙌 😙 Congrats!! Thanks! It's great. It needed a setup which my tech expertly did, and it plays and sounds great. He checked the piezo circuit board and thinks the ic chip may be the problem, since all the switches and pots are working and the flex boards are untouched. I'll order the chip and ...
